In 1988, Heritage Builders became a sole proprietorship and added the Professional Handyman Service as a means of reaching more customers with smaller but equally important needs.
Ron and the crew enjoyed building a home or two each year and a very large number of smaller remodeling and repair projects. They built a two car garage / shop and office at Ron's home in East Menomonie.
By 1993, the garage proved to be too small for the needs of the growing company. They found a great old hobby farm just a little bit west of Menomonie and, being remodelers, proceeded to convert the dairy barn into office and showroom, convert the horse barn into a heated wood working shop with finishing room, and warehouse, and to build a new home for Ron's family.

In 2000 the company incorporated as a Subchapter S, in the State of Wisconsin.
From 1998 through 2005, Ron and Sheila kept their offices in a model home on Highway 12, just north of Fleet Farm. The company sold a few modular homes and continued to complete many, many remodeling and repair projects.
In 2004, Ron began remodeling the old office area to better meet the needs of business today.
In 2005, Sales and Management, Ron and Sheila, moved back into the newly remodeled offices on 370th St.
